Nestled in Long Valley between the East and West Mountains, the peaceful town of Donnelly is the crossroads to recreation in Valley County. Donnelly is a friendly town with community events such as: the Huckleberry Festival (the second week in August), Craft Bazaars, Ice Cream Socials, Art Shows, and holiday events.
West of Donnelly is Tamarack Resort, the first four season resort to be constructed in North America in more than two decades. Tamarack features include the Osprey Meadows Golf Course, an award winning Robert Trent Jones, Jr. design; access to miles of shoreline along Cascade Lake for water sports and fishing, mountain biking and hiking trails, ziplines, Alpine and Nordic skiing. Tamarack has multiple high speed chairlifts for the ultimate summer and winter experience on the mountain.
East of Donnelly you will be taken back in time at the historic Roseberry town site. Originally established in the 1900's, Roseberry has a collection of over 20 historic buildings that have been moved from all over Valley County. You can visit the General Store ,one room School House, Church, Finnish Museum, the old McCall City Hall and many more. Roseberry is also the site of many summer events including the Summer Music Festival held the third weekend of July.
All around the area you will find opportunities to enjoy nature whether it is fishing in the many streams or Cascade Lake, enjoying a dip in natural hot springs or snowmobiling across thousands of acres of public lands. Donnelly Elementary is part of the McCall-Donnelly Joint School District.
