Cascade is located along the southern shore of Cascade Lake and is the county seat for Valley County. At 4760ft above sea level Cascade enjoys warm, dry summers and snow in the winter months.
Cascade is the gateway to several historic, back country mining communities including the village of Yellow Pine, which is located approximately 70 miles east of Cascade and is home to the Yellow Pine Harmonica Festival.
On the drive out to Yellow Pine be sure to stop by and experience some of the naturally occurring area hot springs.
Outdoor recreation lovers flock to Cascade for the snowmobiling in the winter and hiking, hunting, fishing and watersports in the spring, summer and fall.
